Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of the Squishy Chrome extension, the Squishy iPhone app, Sync with Chrome, and the squishyapp.com website. By installing Squishy, using sync, or purchasing Premium, you agree to these terms.
The product
Squishy helps you block distracting apps and websites and run focus and recovery sessions, with a mascot whose happiness responds to your behavior. The core experience is free to start. A paid upgrade unlocks additional features described in the app, extension, or product page.
Your license to use Squishy
You get a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use Squishy on your own devices. You cannot redistribute, resell, sublicense, modify, or reverse-engineer it without written permission, and you cannot use Squishy to harass, spam, or do anything illegal.
Purchases
On iPhone (subscription)
Squishy Premium on iPhone is an auto-renewing subscription. If a free trial is offered, it automatically converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. The price and billing period are shown on the subscription screen before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple ID, and the subscription renews automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings; cancelling stops future renewals but does not retroactively refund the current period. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.
An active iPhone subscription may also unlock eligible Chrome features when you sign in to Sync with Chrome using the same Squishy account email. If your iPhone subscription expires, is cancelled, refunded, revoked, or cannot be confirmed, Chrome may return to the free tier unless another valid Chrome license is active.
On Chrome
Chrome can be used in free mode. Eligible paid access may come from an active iPhone subscription synced to Chrome, or from a direct Chrome license if that checkout is offered. Direct Chrome purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which handles payment, tax, receipts, license keys, and refunds.
If you use a direct Chrome license, it can be activated on a limited number of browsers or devices. You can deactivate a browser from the Account section to free a slot. Squishy validates paid access periodically; if a purchase is revoked or refunded, or if an iPhone subscription can no longer be confirmed, Chrome may revert to the free tier on the next validation. Sync with Chrome
Sync with Chrome uses an email sign-in code. You are responsible for using an email address you control. First sync may seed Chrome with iPhone state; after linking, supported Squishy state can sync between iPhone and Chrome. Platform-specific settings, such as Chrome blocked sites, iPhone Screen Time selections, and active temporary unblocks, remain platform-specific.
You can unlink Sync with Chrome at any time. Unlinking stops future sync on that device but does not automatically delete local data on your other devices or cancel a subscription.
You can delete your optional sync account from the iPhone app. Deleting the sync account removes the server-side account and synced Squishy data tied to that account. It does not cancel your App Store subscription, refund purchases, or automatically erase local data stored on other devices.
Acceptable use
Don't use Squishy to:
- Block apps or sites for someone other than yourself without their consent
- Try to bypass paid features without paying
- Distribute modified versions of the extension or app
- Use automated means to scrape, abuse, or overload checkout, purchase validation, or sync systems
Your data
Squishy stores most settings and progress on your own device. If you turn on Sync with Chrome, supported sync data is stored on our sync provider so your iPhone and Chrome extension can stay aligned. You are responsible for backing up anything you want to keep; uninstalling the app, uninstalling the extension, or clearing local storage may delete local data. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Service availability and updates
We don't guarantee Squishy will be available, error-free, or compatible with every version of Chrome, Chromium-based browsers, or iOS. We may release updates that change features, fix bugs, or adjust what the free and paid tiers include, with reasonable notice for material changes. Purchases, sync, notifications, analytics, and validation rely on third-party services such as Apple, RevenueCat, Supabase, Resend, Lemon Squeezy, PostHog, and OneSignal; if those are temporarily unavailable, features that depend on them may be delayed or unavailable.
Disclaimer of warranties
Squishy is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will make you focused, productive, healthy, or successful, or that it will be bug-free or compatible with your specific setup. Use is at your own discretion.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Squishy. Our total liability for direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months, if any.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. The date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be announced. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
