Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of the Squishy Chrome extension and the squishyapp.com website. By installing the extension or purchasing a Premium license, you agree to these terms.
The product
Squishy is a Chrome extension that helps you block distracting websites and run focus sessions, with a mascot whose happiness responds to your behavior. The core extension is free to install and use. A Premium license unlocks additional features described on the product page.
Your license to use Squishy
When you install Squishy, you get a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the extension on your own devices. You cannot redistribute, resell, sublicense, modify, or reverse-engineer the extension without written permission. You cannot use Squishy to harass, spam, or do anything illegal.
Premium purchase
Premium is a one-time purchase of $9.99 USD that grants lifetime access for the current major version of Squishy. Lifetime means as long as we continue to operate Squishy. We will give reasonable notice if we ever discontinue the product.
Purchases are processed by Polar. Polar collects payment, handles applicable taxes, issues your receipt, provides your license key, and supports refund handling. Their terms apply to the payment transaction.
Premium activation
Your Premium access can be activated on up to three browsers or devices simultaneously. You can deactivate any browser from the Account section inside the extension, which releases that activation slot for use elsewhere.
Squishy validates your Premium access periodically. If your purchase, license, or entitlement is revoked or refunded, the extension will revert to the free tier on next validation.
Refunds
If Squishy Premium does not work as described, you purchased it by mistake, or you are unhappy with it, contact hello@blankslateapps.com within 14 days of purchase. Include the email used at checkout or your Polar order number so we can find the purchase.
Refunds are processed through Polar. We generally approve refunds for activation issues we cannot resolve, duplicate purchases, accidental purchases, or Premium features not working as described.
We may decline refund requests made more than 14 days after purchase, or requests connected to license abuse, resale, shared activation details or license keys, unsupported browsers, or modified extension files. If you receive a refund, your Premium access is revoked and Premium features will lock on your next validation cycle.
Acceptable use
Don't use Squishy to:
- Block sites for someone other than yourself without their consent
- Try to bypass paid features without paying
- Distribute modified versions of the extension
- Use any automated means to scrape, abuse, or overload Polar checkout, purchase validation, or license validation systems through the extension
Your data
Squishy stores your settings and progress on your own device, not on our servers. You are responsible for backing up anything you want to keep. Uninstalling the extension or clearing Chrome's local storage will delete that data. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Service availability and updates
We do not guarantee that the extension will be available, error-free, or compatible with every version of Chrome or other Chromium-based browsers. We may release updates that change features, fix bugs, or adjust the free or paid tier composition. Material changes to what Premium unlocks will be announced with reasonable notice.
Polar checkout and Squishy's Premium validation systems are required to activate and validate Premium. If those services are unavailable, your existing activation will continue to work for at least 30 days after last successful validation before reverting to free.
Disclaimer of warranties
Squishy is provided "as is." We don't guarantee that it will make you focused, productive, healthy, or successful. We also don't guarantee that it will be free of bugs or that it will be compatible with your specific setup. Your use of Squishy is at your own discretion.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Squishy. Our total liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you paid for your Premium license, if any.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. The date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be announced. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
